Creative DIY Kids Halloween Costume Ideas

Trick or treat! Are your little ones costume ready for Halloween? If not, don’t fear, we’ve put together a few of our favorite easy and creative DIY kids costume ideas that your kiddos will love!

Rain cloud and rainbow costume

This is a simple one! Grab the umbrella and cover it in cotton. Cut rainbow and rain drops out of construction paper. Put on a raincoat and rain boots, and there you have it.

Vampire Bat Costume

Grab that broken umbrella from the car or garage! Remove the fabric from an umbrella: Snip all the threads, take out the metal pieces and then cut around the centre tube. Cut this fabric in half. Then fold each piece in half again, taping the fold along the arm of a black fleece using black duct tape (it peels off easily). For the ears, cut two triangles out of stiffened felt and hot glue them to a hair band.

Your child will shine bright this Halloween! Grab a piece of cardboard, glue, and a big tub of Gold Glitter. It’s really that easy! Cut a hole for your child’s face and cover the star in glitter. Pair it with a color-coordinating outfit, and your costume is ready!

Everybody loves sports, making this a fun costume that’s comfortable and pretty easy to throw together. Pick a sport, then pile on the sweatpants, athletic shirts, and sweatbands for a fetching sport day look. Props like racquets and trophies bring the nostalgic theme to life. And you can even let your pet in on the fun with a referee costume!
